Cars parking in corner of Chestnut Close, 24th July

Fix My Street Maidenhead - Mon, 07/24/2017 - 14:29
Cars from Ray Mill Road East residents are parking on the corner of Chestnut Close. This reduces Chestnut Close to a single lane and when turning right into Chestnut Close is dangerous as you cannot see oncoming traffic until you have made the turn. Then you have to reverse out onto main road very close to a busy crossroads. Please extend double yellow lines around corner and further into Chestnut Close so that two cars can pass each other if necessary. This has been a dangerous ongoing issue for years and I have had a few near misses. Thank you

The issue is the increased number of cars parking on the green rather than using the parking bays which are always available! The main problem is on the grass area opposite the footpath leading to Mansel Close. This is causing problems with cars...

Fix My Street Maidenhead - Sat, 07/22/2017 - 17:14
More residents are using the green as a place to park cars eventhough we have a number of parking bays situated around the green. There are always spaces available in these bays due to ample parking around the close. Most days there are now up to 4 cars parking on the green. This is causing problems with a couple of houses getting in and out of their drives.
